"Grow That Baby" Memos from the Postpartum Trenches

Nothing makes a mom happier than to hear that her child is growing. Nothing makes her more anxious than to hear that he is not. The responsibility--basic instinct?--to feed our children, to make sure they are properly fed, is incredibly strong. It's only followed by our responsibility to ensure that they are capable of giving love (by lavishing it on them now in such heaping bucketfuls they overflow of it later).
