New Series on Lessons Our Kids Have Taught Us

I'm starting a new series here about the lessons we've learned in our first five years as parents. I say we deliberately because Abouna has an incredible list of things he's learned, and I think I've finally convinced him to put in a few guest posts! With several Bible studies and sermons to prepare each week (besides home visits, crises, thousands of call minutes and texts), he will probably have me transcribing a conversation on each of his parenting lessons, rather than actually adding to his intense load by writing a post out.

This series is inspired by Jen Fulwiler's post on her blog Conversion Diary. Jen's ten years and six kids have given her much more of a sense of humor about this parenting business. I'm still pretty tense :D.

God has really blessed us with these amazing kids, and I am excited to share what they've taught us about life and about dealing with children. This isn't about us teaching you how to parent (five years = nothing) but about us downloading and processing what we have learned. Any ideas or advice from YOU are welcome!
