I don’t know what Holy Week will look like this year, but I know my Holy Week Journal will be part of it.

I know I’m not alone when I say that I wish this pandemic was completely over already.

I imagine that in your part of the world, as in mine, everything is not 100% back to normal yet.

One thing that will not change for my Holy Week is my Holy Week Journal. It’s the place where I talk to God about the year passed and the year to come, where I ask Him what He desires of me and tell Him what I desperately desire.

Whatever comes up in 2022 (prehistoric worms, anyone?), pick up a copy to use for your Holy Week meditations.

What is the Holy Week Journal?

During Pascha Prayers, in each hour, the deacon chants the Psalm. Usually, people don’t know what to do with themselves. Read a book, stare blankly into space, or worse… take a nap.

Instead of sitting there blankly waiting for the deacon to finish his chant, instead of reading some other book, the Holy Week Journal allows you to focus on the Psalm itself and its connection to your life.

The Holy Week Journal contains all the psalms of the Pascha Prayers on the left-hand page and blank lines for your mediations on the right. You can use it to write, to draw, to let God speak to you through the Psalms and to borrow King David’s words to God.

After a life-altering year…

After 2020 changed our lives in so many ways, the Holy Week Journal is a place to re-center it all on God. Loved ones have passed away, and we’ve seen others taken to the brink of death (perhaps even ourselves). We have lost jobs and found new callings.

Have we kept God in the midst of it all? Writing out prayers and meditations in the Holy Week Journal can help us recall exactly that—that He is Pantocrator, our Captain in all storms.

Pick up a copy for you, for your teen, for your friends.

For your Sunday School…

If you have younger Sunday School kids or want to test out the Holy Week Journal, we do offer 10-packs of Good Friday Journals (these are booklets, not books). Check it out.
