He did! In Hosea 11:1, the prophet wrote: “Out of Egypt I called My Son.” It happened like he prophesied!

When King Herod heard about the birth of the newborn King, he wanted to find Him and kill Him. God sent an angel to Joseph in a dream to warn him, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt” (Matthew 2:13).

The Holy Family spent time journeying through Egypt. If you visit Egypt, you will find many churches built along their path.
