Give Me This Water (Lock Screen)

Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."

The woman said to Him, "Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw." John 4:13-15

These verses from the readings of the Third Sunday of Lent, from the story of The Samaritan Woman, remind me of how much we thirst in this world. We thirst for love, we thirst for purpose, we thirst for Christ Himself.

When you're thirsty in the morning before you break your fast, remember to seek first the Living Water, the water that becomes a fountain which springs up into everlasting life.

When you look at your phone this week, take a second to call to God from the depths of your heart for the Living Water which nourishes the soul: "Lord, give me this water."
